My name is Rachel Nicholson, I am married with two grown up children, and live in Leicestershire. I am a dynamic, inspiring, highly effective, patient focused senior nurse, with a demonstrable track record of success gained in influential roles within Acute Hospitals and Charitable organisations. I consider myself to be a highly versatile and capable person with a significant amount of transferable skills in Healthcare.
I have worked in Healthcare for over 33 years, having started as a Nursing Assistant and worked my way up to be an Assistant Director of Nursing. I am a very passionate nurse and pride myself on my attention to detail.
I have completed six modules at Masters Level, and obtained a Distinction from the Leicester Medical School for my consultational skills assignment. I have completed the Extended and Supplemtry Nurse Prescribing course and an Advanced Communications course.
In 2009 I was awarded the Nurse of the month Award, this was given to me by my co-workers and managers for my leadership and managerial skills.
I became interested in aesthetics about five years ago when I went for a small aesthetic procedure. I was absolutely fascinated in the skill and the knowledge of the aesthetic nurse and wanted to learn more about this area. I felt so much better after my treatment that I started to research how I could become an aesthetic practitioner and help others.
In September 2013, I left my role as Assistant Director or Nursing to concentrate on aesthetics. For the first month I chaperoned an advanced aesthetic practitioner before embarking on my Anti-Wrinkle Injection training in Leicester. I have been trained with Azzalure and to date, I have treated approximately 50 patients with Anti-wrinkle injections. In January this year I undertook my ‘fillers’ course at the Cosmedic Clinic in Tamworth, my model had a ‘cheek enhancement’, with marionette lines being treated as well. I have treated three clients’ smokers’ lines, two clients with a lip enhancement, and two clients with their naso-labial lines and marionette lines.
What I love most about providing aesthetic treatments, as well as actually treating patients, is seeing them for their follow up appointments, seeing their faces and being told how much ‘better’ they feel, knowing that ‘I’ have managed that, with my knowledge and skills.
I have been told that I have a very calming nature and that patients/clients feel at ease with me. My ‘sales skills’ have been enhanced while working in aesthetics and most of my clients have gone on to receive further treatments or have recommended me to their family/friends.
I would very much like to work for the ‘best of the best’ – that being Harley Street. I would very much appreciate, gaining expert knowledge, skills and experience with the aim to treating my own clients at Harley Street.
While my main passion is aesthetic nursing, in my spare time I enjoy swimming, walking eating out and quality time with the family. My long term plans are to take a Masters module in aesthetics and contribute to an aesthetic publication.
